At the beginning of the summer I revised the children's job charts- mostly added more jobs! One of Levi's jobs after supper is to match and straighten out all of the shoes on the mats. He was proud of this job, and able to achieve quite nicely. He was up there with the big kids and their jobs! Then after a few weeks, he suddenly turned into the self- appointed shoe patrol, as I caught him ordering everyone else to take their shoes off properly when they came home. We all laughed, but I did think about it later. Isn't this our constant struggle? To disregard our calling of service, and look for the easiest self-serving way?
Makes me long for eternity...
