To My Son....

Happy Birthday Jacob!
Eleven years ago we welcomed this precious gift from God. He is a delightful part of the family! We pray that he will grow up to love the Lord, serve Him faithfully and be a warrior for the truth!

Baby Update.

Seems to me we are long overdue for an update of the youngest Valk:

Current age: Just over 10 months.
On the menu: Lots of "big people" food.
Teeth: Five and possibly more considering the drool factor.
Latest Goals: Trying to be one step ahead of mom in taking apart every drawer/cupboard possible.
Mode of transport: Speed crawling, climbling up and walking around any and all reachable objects.
Biggest challenge: Sleep. (This baby wins zero awards in this department--- yawn!)
Biggest accomplishment: Winning the hearts of all family members!

One more quote!

"He that rides to be crowned, will not think much of a rainy day."
—John Trapp

"As the wicked are hurt by the best things, so the godly are bettered by the worst."
—William Jenkyn

um....yeah....we have boys....

It this not hilarious!? I claim total innocence on this one! Jacob totally orchestrated these darling photos. They were having a break and my warrior son rallied all the boys (the ones that can stand) and he created all of these delightful scenes by using his own little camera (self-timer). I'm thinking in a few years, who's going to need an alarm system?

Good thoughts...

Five Things Which Are No Different About This Election from All Other Presidential Elections in Our History (Or Elections in any other country)

***God is still on the throne.

***The Scriptures are still the only rule of action for Christians.

***The duty of believers at the ballot box is the same today as it has always been. We may only select leaders who meet the Scriptural requirements for civil magistrate. Leaders need not be perfect, but they must be qualified.

***The obedient response of the elect of God to the Lord Jesus Christ and His law-word, not Muslim extremists, political activists, or the results of presidential elections, is the key to national blessing.

***The results of the presidential election, regardless of who wins, will work together for the good of the elect of God

(the above is From the Vision Forum)

What a comfort!
