It has been awhile!
I've nearly forgot how to use blogger! Here's a bit of a catch up from the fall and winter. It is fun to look through the photos to jog the memory!
Justin and Kadin have been taking an accounting course plus a business (entrepreneur) component. This part required them to come up with a business, document sales, costs, etc and have regular meetings with their teacher and coach (not me!). Here they are back in September beginning their firewood business.
It has proven to be very profitable and they already have 10 cords of wood on pre-order for the fall of 2017!
Here is Jacob on his way to a youth dress up banquet. The theme was medieval. I believe he was going for the rogue traveller man.
At the end of September, Macayla and I boarded a coach bus with 50 other women from the area and went to Indianapolis for the True Woman conference (Nancy Leigh Demoss Wolgemuth).
It was a wonderful time together with the wonderful treat of hearing the Getty's lead worship!
Macayla was thrilled to get their autograph!
In October, Eric and I hit the road to Chattanooga, Tennessee for the CCEF national conference! We drove with friends and stopped at the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter on the way back. Amazing!
We have a 5 day trip planned for April to go back as a family where we plan to include the ziplines as well!
In November....I was spoiled to have another trip!
Yvonne and I fly down to Texas to help our friend expecting her sixth baby.....added bonus.....we were present to witness a most beautiful home birth of this little man.

Also in November, we took advantage of the Niagara Falls WonderPass. Niagara residents are able to go to 10 attractions for $30 for the whole family!
A deal almost hard to believe!
This kid is quite the ham!
His latest claim to fame is jalapeno peppers. He had them at a friends (from a jar) so last week I purchase a fresh one from the grocery store. He thought is was great!

Oma, Great Oma and Tante Greet were the happy recipients.
We have had very little snow this winter. Here is the dog, Gracie, happily sitting in the sun enjoying the snow for the few hours that it was around.
Macayla is in grade 12. She has taken 2 night courses at the local college in sign language, and we feel VERY blessed that I was able to get her a co-op placement at the Niagara Children's Centre. A special school for children with special needs. Macayla is in a class of 10 students and a number of them are not verbal.
She is now considered the ASL expert by the staff there!
Macayla has nearly completed her 3 credit co-op (330 hours!) here and is actually quite dreading the day when she will have to say good-bye to the staff and "her kids."
The latest critter to visit the farm.
I'm afraid to say that we did call up Opa to the farm to have his "Daniel Boone" moment.
We managed one ski trip to Kissing Bridge with our family. It was hard to find that day when we were able to go AND we actually had snow.
Justin and Kadin also purchased their own tickets and invited their friends (twins too!) for the day. Yours truly was the driver and although it was raining all day the conditions were still enjoyed by the 4 of them. They had the run of the place and could make more (wet!) memories together!
We feel like we are starting to see the finish line for our school work which is a nice feeling. Justin and Kadin both have been offered spring work, so are doing double time on the books.
Last week, Gideon and Levi participated in a speechmeet/poetry reciting. Gideon (a poem) and Levi (an original speech) both won FIRST place in their age groups!
Quite the thrill after all of the hard work.
We have been blessed with very little sickness in our house and are enjoying the regular activities of home and church.
